This project was updating the existing stats pages for the ALGS (Apex Legends Global Series) section on apexlegendsstatus.com, a popular site with thousands of visitors every day.
The client wanted the pages visually updated, “essentially keeping the same theme (dark/red colors), but making everything a bit more modern/ergonomic”.
The events list page was simple, but beyond visuals it needed some reorganization to make it more approachable.
Most site visitors will be looking for stats for current or recent events. By showing only the current year upfront and allowing users to see past years with a button I was able to reduce the amount of content on screen at once, not only with the amount of events but also eliminating the need for the year in each event's title.
To future-proof this system, I also included mockups showing how the design can adapt to more years.
The stats page holds a lot of information. It was important to keep this all accessible while visually updating it to match the client's desired look of “modern/ergonomic”.
Similar to the separation by year on the event listing, breaking the different rounds up by day kept information more organized and easier to read at a glance.
